About Dr. Eleni Mavrakis
Dr. Eleni Mavrakis is a graduate of Montefiore Medical Center’s Pediatric Dentistry Program. She received her DMD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she was a recipient of multiple awards and scholarships. Her clinical experiences were expanded by treating children with developmental disabilities at the Rose F. Kennedy Center in New York City.
During her years as a dental student and pediatric dental resident, she donated much of her spare time to volunteer activities ranging from helping high school students learn about dentistry to screening Olympians at the Special Olympics.
As an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association, she keeps current with the latest research and development in the field of dentistry. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and honored with the Richard C. Pugh Award for scoring in the top three percent in the nation on her Pediatric Dental Boards. Her passion for helping and giving back has led her to many volunteer programs including a mission trip to Sri Lanka to perform screenings and teach children dental care.
She loves spending her free time with her family, fiancé, friends and her little Yorkie named Munchkin.
